Babs

Babs is an SBT Bengal meaning that she has at least four generations of Bengal to Bengal breeding in her pedigree. She is also only 7 generations removed from the Asian Leopard Cat Apollo of Gayzette (on her sires side) and 8 generations removed from the Asian Leopard Cat Leopole Of Newhorizon (on her dams side).

Babs is a medium sized girl with a substantial build. She is very well proportioned and has a beautiful tail. Babs is a very striking girl with distinctive looks. She has extreme colour contrast with jet black markings against a pure white background. She has zero tarnish to her beautifully clear and glittered coat. Her black outlined spots are large and dramatic with a good flow to their pattern. Babs also has a good head with medium sized ears, round nocturnal eyes, a wide nose bridge and puffy whisker pads.

Babs is a very sweet girl with a loving and affectionate nature. She has and always will be, very special to us. She was born earlier than expected, a singleton kitten and a birthday surprise!

Babs has a fabulous pedigree with a long line of Champions and rare (to the UK) Bluewater lines. We believe Babs and her dam to be homozygous for silver which will hopefully aid us in producing top quality silver Bengals in the UK.

Babs is registered active with Tica:

Babs is PK Def Heterozygous (N/K):

Genetic test results

Babs has been tested for PK Def and her results show that she is heterozygous. She will not have pyruvate kinase deficiency but may pass the mutation to her offspring. Therefore following the advice of Langfords Veterinary Services*, we will only put her to 'normal' boys and test any offspring suitable for breeding, in the hope of eliminating the genes.

* "Strategic and controlled breeding of affected and carrier cats to normal cats is important for preserving the gene pool and retaining important lines." "Carrier cats can be bred to other normal cats, thereby producing more cats that are normal and do not carry the defective gene."

Purrl

Purrl is an SBT Bengal meaning that she has at least four generations of Bengal to Bengal breeding in her pedigree.

Purrl is a very pretty girl with striking looks. She is well contrasted with blonde coloured markings against a pale white background. Such definition can be difficult to produce in a seal lynx Bengal. She has a wealth of large rosetted spots that look almost clouded in pattern. Her coat is thick, luxurious and dripping in glitter. Purrl has a very nice head shape with an almost straight nose/profile and a strong chin. And to top it all off, she has stunning large blue nocturnal eyes.

Purrl is a very confident and assertive girl. She is very vocal, she likes to make her presence known and she loves to be made a fuss of! She is very kitten like in her behaviour.
